For the city

The Integrated Transportation Center complements the "7 for Olsztyn" package.

In the framework of that, the investor Retail Provider offers to the city implementation of seven accompanying investments that will improve the quality of urban space around the station.

1.

CENTRAL CHANGE POINT

The Central Change Point is the result of integration with the new stations of the tramway investment implemented by the City of Olsztyn. It will be located in the central part of Konstytucji 3 Maja Square, in the immediate vicinity of the railway and coach stations. It will offer the possibility of building an underground passage so as to achieve maximum communication synchronization at this point of changes. The project involves installation of lifts and total adaptation to the needs of disabled people.

2.

EXTENSION OF THE UNDERGROUND PASSAGE

In agreement with PKP PLK S.A. (Polish State Railways - Polish Railway Lines) we plan to extend the existing passage under the railway tracks.  We notice an urgent need for a pedestrian connection of Zatorze district with the city center. This solution meets the expectations of Olsztyn NGOs. With the favor of the City Authorities, it is also possible to create a P&R car park, which would discharge the Bema Square roundabout.

3.

CITY SQUARE
+
OPTIMIZATION OF THE ROAD SYSTEM

According to the company’s project, not only the station’s building but also a shopping mall, as well as an interesting public space for meetings and cultural events are to be built. The project of a city square, located in the front of the ITC, provides for elements of greenery, water, and modern street furniture. A lively square will constitute a prestigious part of the landscape of Olsztyn.

4.

NEW RAILWAY STATION

In the western part of the ITC project the company will create a new, two-storey railway station building. The platforms will be connected with the underground levels and the two-storey main hall via the existing underground passage. The object will occupy an area of approx. 2,500 sq. m. Passenger information desk at the railway station will integrate not only data on railway and coach connections, but also the airplanes connections.

5.

NEW COACH STATION

On the ground floor, in the eastern part of the ITC project, a modern coach station will be located. The object with an area of approx. 4,000 sq. m. will be fully covered and smoothly connected to the seven-coach stops. We assume that in addition to the ticket windows, information desks, waiting rooms and toilets; small restaurants, shops and service facilities will be located in the stations’ part of the object.

6.

MUNICIPAL HOUSING

In response to the housing problems of the residents of Olsztyn, the company has declared the possibility of delivering public housing a number of which would be agreed with the City.

7.

GREEN PROJECT

Retail Provider plans to include, in a sustainable way, its investment into the urban fabric of Olsztyn. The project meets international environmental and technology standards. In the future, we will indicate real gains for the environment, such as the minimization of CO2 emissions, water and electricity consumption, which will result from the implemented solutions. The building will receive the appropriate certificates confirming its environmentally friendly nature.
